SMILE-FX / Miramar / Care between visits

Stay connected with your aligner team between visits

You can stay connected to the team treating you between office visits. At SMILE-FX in Miramar, 24/7 access to provider support gives you a route for questions, alongside standard smartphone monitoring and doctor-led follow-up.

Board-certified orthodontists see every patient, including at follow-up visits. Support belongs alongside that relationship: it helps you bring a question into the conversation and understand what the team has explained for your care.

Raise a question between appointments

A question may come to mind after a visit, when you look back at your plan or think about the next discussion. Support access gives you somewhere to take that question. Your treating team identifies the contact route to use and how your question will be handled within your individual care arrangements.

Around-the-clock access describes availability of the support route, not a deadline for a reply. The team's actual answer and any confirmed review or appointment explain what has been arranged for you.

Keep the answer and the agreed next step together

The contact route tells you where a question can go. A received answer tells you what the team has explained. A confirmed office discussion tells you where that conversation will continue and who you will see. Reading them together makes the care arrangement easier to understand.

For example, an answer can explain that your orthodontist will discuss the purpose of a proposed next step with you in person. The appointment confirmation then gives that discussion a definite place in your care. Sending a question alone does not confirm an appointment.

Use the contact instructions for your own care

If you are already receiving treatment, use the contact instructions supplied by your treating team. When considering care at SMILE-FX, understanding the support route, orthodontist involvement and individual follow-up arrangements helps you see how the service would fit your questions, alongside the appliance itself.

A fictional support conversation: Nina chooses an office discussion

In this fictional example, Nina's care information identifies her treating team's messaging route for questions between visits. She wants to understand a proposed next step and prefers to talk it through with her orthodontist in person.

Nina's question: 'Can I discuss the reason for the proposed next step with my orthodontist in the office rather than trying to cover everything by message?'

The treating team's received answer: 'Yes. We have confirmed an office discussion with your orthodontist at the Miramar studio. We will go through your treatment goal, the explanation of the proposed next step and the questions you have sent.'

The team's appointment confirmation identifies an in-person follow-up with her treating orthodontist at that studio. This is the individual arrangement Nina and the team have agreed, not a standard timetable for other patients.

Nina now has an answer to her practical question: she can discuss the proposed next step with her orthodontist in the office, and that visit is confirmed. The support exchange has connected what she wants explained with an agreed conversation, while leaving the clinical explanation with her orthodontist.
